CENIT — building foundations, setting direction, and first impact
Dear members, friends, sponsors, and supporters of CENIT,
2025 marked a pivotal year of founding and capacity building for CENIT. During this year, we established the organizational, strategic, and communications foundations that our future work will build on.
Over the course of 2025, CENIT was formally founded. A key milestone was achieved with the recognition of our non-profit status. This confirms our commitment to act sustainably, independently, and in the public interest.
Another central step was adopting our mission statement. It sets out our shared ambition:
We are committed to making prevention in dance a natural part of health culture – across institutions, generations, and social contexts.
Our mission is to make the scientific foundations of dance prevention visible, to enable research, and to curate and disseminate evidence-based knowledge – so that structures emerge which enable healthy dancing for everyone.
– From the CENIT e.V. mission statement
This mission statement serves as our guiding framework for all future activities and decisions.
2025 was also defined by the systematic build-up of our communications work.
A key focus was establishing initial connections with established stakeholders in the dance ecosystem. These conversations provide the basis for future cooperation and help us better understand needs, interfaces, and shared perspectives.
None of these steps would have been possible without the trust, support, and interest of many companions along the way. We would like to express our sincere thanks.
2025 was a year of building. The coming years will be shaped by bringing these foundations to life, deepening partnerships, and embedding prevention where it is needed most. We look forward to continuing this journey together.
With kind regards
The Management Board
